A Fever In The Blood is fully filmed. We arranged the final scene to be filmed at mine where I set up the backdrop and "interrogation" like set with the actors facing each other. It was kept dark with low key lighting to bring across the intensity of the scene - showing what Victor is feeling and how it's manifested itself in his dream. Cast and crew arrived early morning, I had the set all rigged up and it was just a case of setting up the equipment. We were smart this time and set up three cameras to roll at once, capturing as much as we could in as little a time as possible. It's a tight room made even more tighter with the setup and equipment, we agreed to have as little people as possible on shoot that day, with only the 3 actors, 5 crew and a makeup artist.
Filming began at 1200 once makeup had been applied - needing some heavy sfx for the wounds - we had finished up for 1400.
I'm glad to be finished up with this project.
I'm now on to working on my short film. I've decided to take my previous idea and adapt it into a music video. The "Blue" script I had previously written but changed in a way to suit a music video. I have managed to get the permission to use "Haven Lea" by Lists as my song. The video will still follow a painter and the absence of blue. A new script has been written up to suit this. I'm worried about the amount of time I have left to complete this project but I don't see it taking more than a day or two to film. I'm putting most of my effort into fully planning it at the moment and can arrange film dates soon after that.
Strictly Kids project has also been fully edited, coming to 1 hour and 30 minutes worth of footage. I've sent it to the organisers to get their feedback.
