From my beginning in art and illustration, through to my more recent venture into film. What have I been drawn to?

 

While I like to see myself as being able to try my hand at various aspects within the creative industries – the stand out fact to me is that I like to be in charge of how a film looks, the visual representation and mood it creates.

A cinematographer role sums up everything I enjoy about filmmaking.

To me this is the most desirable role, to look at a concept and imagine how it will play out on screen, once the cinematographer has done their work then it becomes film.

Without the work of the cinematographer, a film is just a stage-play.

 

My main asset is my eye for detail, my persistence in ensuring something looks good. To me it is an essential need to have something that is visually striking, that creates an impact, it is something that I am enthusiastic to maintain in all projects that I work on.
